Tablets and Capsules
For consumers who will not mix a powder.
A smaller share of the category but a persistent one. Some consumers will never mix a powder, and the pharmacy channel in particular still prefers a solid dose. The constraint is arithmetic: collagen doses are large, and tablets are small.
What goes in, and why
The dose per tablet is limited by tablet size and by what a consumer will swallow. Most solid-dose collagen products deliver considerably less per day than powder formats, and the label should be honest about that.
Commonly included, and they cost little space relative to the collagen itself.
The excipient system determines whether the tablet holds together in the bottle and breaks apart in the stomach. It is developed around your dose, not chosen from a shelf.

What this format demands of the peptide
Flowability and compressibility drive this format rather than solubility. Particle size and bulk density become the parameters we agree, and they are different from the ones that matter in a powder sachet. Moisture control is critical because a hygroscopic peptide will soften a tablet over shelf life.
On dosing
Be realistic about tablets per day. A product requiring eight tablets to reach a clinically meaningful dose will not be taken as directed, and a claim built on that dose will not survive contact with the consumer.
