What goes in, and why

Marine hydroxyapatite

Microcrystalline calcium phosphate carrying calcium and phosphorus together in their naturally occurring ratio, with trace elements present. This is the form calcium takes in bone, rather than an isolated salt.

Vitamin D3

Required for intestinal calcium absorption. A calcium product without D3 has a hole in it, and buyers know this.

Vitamin K2

Directs calcium toward bone rather than soft tissue. Increasingly expected on a serious calcium label.

Magnesium

Frequently included for the calcium–magnesium balance, and it supports the same bone positioning.

What this format demands of the peptide

Particle size is the governing parameter here rather than molecular weight. It determines mouthfeel in a powder, compressibility in a tablet and, for some buyers, absorption positioning. We agree a calcium and phosphorus target, a Ca:P ratio you can print, and a particle size distribution suited to your format.

On dosing

Calcium dosing is bounded by regulatory limits and by tolerance rather than by efficacy alone. Elemental calcium per serving is the number your label states and the number a pharmacist compares, so it needs to be right rather than optimistic.

Who buys this

Typical customers

Bone and women's health brands, geriatric nutrition, prenatal ranges, pharmacy channel, and brands seeking a natural-origin alternative to calcium carbonate.
