How we write

Ingredient marketing is full of claims with nothing behind them. We hold this section to a different standard, because our customers' regulatory teams will read it.

  • Every factual claim is cited to a named source
  • Peer-reviewed literature is preferred over secondary reporting
  • Effect sizes and confidence intervals are given, not just conclusions
  • Where evidence is weak or contested, we say so
  • We do not present class-level research as substantiation for a product
  • Corrections are made visibly, not quietly

Whatever the sea gives us, we use completely.
