What goes in, and why
Bone is roughly a third collagen by weight. The organic matrix is what gives bone its tensile strength, and it is the part most supplements ignore in favour of calcium alone.
Our own mineral, recovered from the same scale. Hydroxyapatite is the form calcium takes in human bone, carrying phosphorus in its natural ratio rather than calcium in isolation.
Required for intestinal calcium absorption. Calcium without D3 is a formulation with a hole in it.
Directs calcium toward bone rather than soft tissue. Increasingly expected in a serious bone formulation.

What this format demands of the peptide
Mineral content is the point rather than a contaminant here, so the specification conversation is different: we are agreeing a calcium and phosphorus target, a particle size that suspends without grittiness, and a Ca:P ratio you can state on the label. The collagen fraction still carries its usual molecular weight and ash requirements.
